Food Geek Friday: October #Unprocessed 2011
The other day one of the food blogs I follow mentioned they would be participating in Eating Rules October Unprocessed Challenge.
I was immediately intrigued.
While I try to eat whole, unprocessed foods a majority of the time, I just don't maintain the consistency that I'd like to and having a challenge makes it easier for me. What I really like about this particular challenge is that it's customizable to where you are in your own food and cooking experiences right now. You can pledge to take it on for a day, week or however long you choose. Years ago when I only ate fast food and rarely cooked anything that wasn't from a box, a day and especially a week would have been a major challenge. That obviously isn't the case now, though I do still find I eat fast food at least a couple of times a week. I want to stop that so I personally will be going for the entire month. I encourage you to participate at a level that will be challenging without being discouraging, whatever that is for you. Click on the logo or link above to get the full details.
