Organizing with a Side of Fabulous: Celebrating 5 Years!

My 5th birthday. And yes, there are two cakes. There are also two kinds of ice cream too. I like to celebrate with variety. First, let me just say...

OK. Now that that's out of the way.

But seriously. I really wouldn't have expected it. This business was sparked with a question just before Christmas 5 years ago:

"What would you charge for your organizing services?"

For the first couple of years everyone asked if I worked with hoarders. I was adamant: No.

It was too much. Too hard. Way beyond what my brain could possibly happen.

Now five years later it's one of my favorite things to do. I'm constantly researching the illness and fascinated with it's many facets and the challenges with treatment. When I get to work with someone who is finally ready to face it, they show such bravery. We get such dramatic results. Helping someone come back from the brink and turn their life around in such a positive and amazing way is one of the reasons I wake up joyful every morning.

Interesting how we grow into our roles as time passes.

Also over time I've won "Best Of" awards and have been quoted in Good Housekeeping, Shape, Woman's Day, Experience Life and many other publications. Sometimes alongside some of my own very favorite organizers.

And I couldn't have done any of it without you.

So a MASSIVE THANK YOU!!! To those who followed me over from my prior life as an event planner. To everyone who's read a post, article, or anything else I've shared. To everyone who has shared and recommended me to others. And even a big ole THANK YOU to those who have been critical of my advice.

(I'm looking at you people I pissed off with my storage unit rants!)

Most of all, THANK YOU to all of my clients - past, present, future. It is my honor that you trust me to come into your homes when you feel most overwhelmed and paralysed in decision, and allow me to help.

It just f*cking rocks really.

Now I turn it over to you, Sunshines. My mission is to help as many people let go of their clutter and get organized. And to do it in such a way that is not only practical for each person's needs but is also fun and entertaining. We often come across some dark shit lurking in the chaos and clutter and I want to shed light in there in a way that feels good so you can face it and move forward. What do you need to do that? What can I do to make it easier for you? What would you like to see from this business over the next 5 years and beyond?

How can I most help you, Sunshine?
