Hey Red! How do I get past the dread of deep cleaning my master bath?
Hey Red!How to get past mental block over the major cleaning that needs to be done under the sink and in the drawers of my master bathroom? Deep-clean Dread
Isn't it amazing how the places we use to clean ourselves can get SO dirty!
Seriously. How does this happen???
It's enough to make you say screw it and get a cocktail.
But no need!
While these areas can certainly be a challenge, it's often much worse in our minds than it is in reality. And it will only get worse when unattended so you may as well face it. Set a final goal for how you want the space to look and feel. Then keep a laser focus on that goal. Think of how fantastic it's going to feel to get there.
Then, throw on some gloves, play some music that pumps you up and take it one step at a time until it's done.
Pro tip: if it smells, put a little Tiger Balm under your nose. That's what I do in my hoarder homes so that I can still breathe.
Additional option available to you...you deal with the actual things and then hire someone to do the deep cleaning. So let go of anything that's expired or that you no longer need, use, and love. Then bring someone else in to do the heavy cleaning. After they're done, set it all up so that it'll be easy to maintain and clean on your own. Or you may decide that you like it so much that you have someone come clean on a regular basis. Either way, it's all good.
Then when you're finished celebrate that you faced it and it's done!
