The high points:

  • Meticulously organized. Obviously. And I want to help you discover the level of organizing perfect for you.
  • Don't believe in status quo or doing things a certain way because you "should," "that's how it's always been done," or because it's what society expects.
  • Teach with TCU Extended Education and the Fort Worth Writer's Boot Camp.
  • Published author.
  • Co-founder and former Marketing Director of Save Our Symphony Fort Worth.
  • Prior award-winning careers in professional ballroom dance and event management.
  • Bachelor's in Advertising and Public Relations from Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, TX.
  • Studied philosophy and theater at Austin College in Sherman, TX.
  • Love cooking and eating indulgent food, yoga, dance, champagne, whiskey, and cursing. And not necessarily in that order.

The full story:

Hi, my name is Melinda, and I’m a full-blown, Type-A, over-achiever.

In undergrad I took a full course load while holding 3 offices in my sorority, performed with the dance team, worked in the costume shop of the theater, was active in various other campus organizations, as well as acted in plays and co-produced benefit rock shows back in my home town over an hour and a half away.

In my first job out of college as a ballroom dancer I taught up to 25 students at a time, creating dance programs to meet each students needs. I also taught group classes, continued my own dance training, rehearsed for performances, and helped out with the business side of the studio.

In one of my positions as an event planner, I planned and managed over 80 events per year. Most Saturdays I had 2-4 events at a time. These events ranged in attendance from 100 to thousands of people with about a kajillion moving parts. One event I planned, a mere 3 days after a major presidential fundraiser I managed, was a 9-hour event for over 3,000 people and included a Cirque du Soleil style performance.

Even today, I run this business almost exclusively as a one woman show - helping clients, writing books, creating programs, managing the marketing and graphic design, researching the latest and freshest ideas, and more. And I still make time for things I love like yoga, cooking, dance, and performing with one of my very favorite arts organizations, the Fort Worth Opera.

I even make the time for a Netflix binge here and there...House of Cards, West Wing, and Mad Men, I’m looking at you.

OH! And champagne. There's always time for champagne.

So how do I pull this all off without letting things fall through the cracks or pull my red hair right out?

Simply put, I’m organized, dahling.

Organization is the special sauce that allows you to do everything you want with ease.

I’ll say this though - being organized isn’t a virtue. My industry tries to make it sound as though organization is this be-all, end-all thing, and if you’re not then you’re a bad person.

That’s bullshit.

Organization is a tool. It will help you get where you want to go more efficiently and with more ease. It’s as simple as that.

What isn’t as simple is discovering what your own organizing style is...especially if you grew up in a disorganized home.

That’s where I come in. Together you and I will work to discover your own personal organizing style so that you too can fit everything you want out of life into your schedule

What do you want to do? Maintain a neat and tidy home that refreshes and recharges you? Start a business? Write a book? Stay on top of your family’s things and schedules? Have more meals that are homemade rather than take-out? Attend three parties in a single evening? Maybe you’d just love to create some space in your schedule to take better care of yourself?

No matter what it is you want to do with your time, space, and life, organization will help. By setting goals, getting clear on your priorities, clearing the clutter, and creating streamlined systems, your life will be able to better flow with ease.

Imagine how fabulous it will feel to thrive rather than merely survive.

I have a loooong and very successful history of helping people get from point A to B in a manner that is efficient while allowing tons of space for fun and celebration. I did this in teaching people how to dance, in planning events, and now in creating organizing strategies for homes, work, and lives.

Are you ready to create your own strategy and sparkle?
Let’s get started today.

Compliments

I am honored beyond measure that people allow me into their homes, messes, and lives to help fix things and make them better. I am just as thankful for my clients as they are for me and get giddy with delight when I receive their messages of thanks and of how much I've helped. ~Melinda

"I sure want to recommend this "Special Red Head!" She is fabulous!"
B.B. - Fort Worth, TX

"Flying you out was the biggest leap of faith I've ever taken when hiring someone from out of town. And you are worth every penny. I'm SO glad I did it and now the house is DONE!"
R. B. - Baton Rouge, LA

"The kitchen still looks great- having it look so nice gives me energy and motivation to finish tasks- put groceries away, clean up after cooking etc-- I've been surprised at my paradigm shift! The mess was repelling and draining me!!"
T. W. - Lake Worth, TX

"Just wanted to let you know that the resources you provided turned out invaluable and to thank you again for all your help and support!  You are truly, truly awesome!"
M. H. - Cairo, Egypt

"With your guidance and our work on my pantry, I only spent $79 this week at the grocery store instead of the usual $200. It was so great to walk through the store and know what I already had in my kitchen!"
M. H. - Fort Worth, TX

"Just walked into the office and saw the floor! What a pleasure! This makes a big difference. I knew I was feeling weighed down by the office stuff, but until now I didn't realize how much. The weight has been lifted."
S. W. - Fort Worth, TX

"My house looks awesome! Everything has an appropriate spot and it only takes about 5 minutes or less a couple of times a week to do a complete sweep-through of the house and return items to their homes. Most things get put away as they are used.  It is exactly how I envisioned it. EVERY time I go in the guest room, it makes me sooo happy. It's beautiful in there and I can get to my clothes without risking a trip to the ER. Lol. The rest of the house is fabulous, too, but the guest room is my favorite. The before pictures are unbelievable. It’s amazing how much easier and less frustrating it is to do things now that the house is organized the way it is supposed to be. You're worth every penny I paid you. Thanks so much! "
C. M. - Fort Worth, TX
"I almost had a panic attack the first time you showed up! Until I realized you were fabulous and awesome! Thank you SO MUCH!!!"
M.P. - Ft. Worth, TX

"FYI: I think you should know that you are infectious.  You should have some kind of disclaimer in your contract. Now I see clutter everywhere I look!  It's EVERYWHERE - on my phone, my computer files, my purse...every corner, every cabinet, every drawer...it's like spending a few hours with you and I have clutter glasses on now - I see extraneous baloney everywhere!  It's a little overwhelming, but I keep thinking, "Forward, forward, the only way out is through."  Baby steps, baby steps, baby steps....."
C. M. - Fort Worth, TX

"You saved my life! "
M. N. - Arlington, TX

"What you've taught me about staying within the limits of my space prevented me from over-buying at the after Christmas sales. I purchased only one item I had not planned to buy and it is replacing another item that will be donated. Thanks for saving me money and my sanity, Melinda!"
C. S. - Mansfield, TX

"You're an organizing ninja!"
B.A. - Atlanta, GA

"Melinda, Thank you for being here and helping me.  We had good momentum going and I slept quite well last night.  The books are loaded in my car, the shredding is done, and I even went through my son's baby clothes box that was in the garage!  I cannot tell you why I saved them for 32 years since many of the items were stained.  I feel good about getting rid of stuff.   This morning I have clear mind. I really appreciate your help and guidance.  Yesterday, you allowed me permission to start taking care of myself and some of my needs.  Thank you!"
R. B. - Weatherford, TX
